{End of Summer Wrap-Up}

We've had a one heck-uv-a summer!
I have completed my summer semester
{so glad my life will never include summer school again!}
and now get to focus on the fun part of my degree...
my internships this fall and spring.
Oh my gosh, I am so excited about this part of my schooling.

Speaking of kids, I haven't broadcasted publicly
a piece of news about our family.
Mainly because of pure busy-ness.
I've also had fear about going too public
since everything about the situation is so shaky feeling.
It feels very similar to my first trimester of pregnancy with my oldest 2
and the 6 months of waiting for Reese.

We have been fostering a 4 year old boy who
we are all absolutely in love with.
I can't even describe to you how in love we are with him.
He is such a great kid
and the other kids have done great with their new special brother.
We are praying that we will be able to be his forever family and adopt him.
There are some variables that we are having to wait on.
Things we do not have any control over,
which is scary for me because I feel so protective over our little guy.

So, please pray that God's will is done in M.'s life.
His judge has some hard decisions to make
and we are praying that he would have wisdom regarding M.'s future.
I can't imagine having that kind of responsibility.
It'll be several months before we know anything, more than likely.
I wish I was allowed to share pictures on my blog,
because not only is he a great kid, but he's pretty stinking cute, as well.
We're quite the sight when we go out in public,
with four little tykes very close in size.

I love my family so much!
I love having a husband and kids who are excited
about sharing their home and family with the fatherless!!!

  1. Oh McKenna- I am so happy for you! I didn't know about the new addition. I will be praying for you and for little M that God's will be done, and hopefully that means that M will become a permanent part of your family. I can't wait to meet him!
