I grew up in Awana
and am so excited about my
two new Sparks for Jesus
and my newest little Cubbie!
We're giving Reese a little more time
before she begins her Awana career. :)
Two little facts about me:
I earned my Citation award in Awana.
I also went to Togo, Africa
with the Awana program in high school.
Needless to say, I love Awana.
The Bible verses I memorized growing up
are hidden well in my heart and have been so
comforting to have with me during different seasons in my life.
Connor and M. have both blown me away with their ability to memorize
scripture! Both boys are so smart
and eager to learn God's Word.
I am especially glad to help M. hide His Word deep
in his little heart as his future is uncertain.
We haven't had any news yet, but please continue to pray!
Since Darah doesn't yet have very much speech,
{which I keep telling her is bad for the business,
since Mommy is going to be a Speech-Language Pathologist...
we're working on it.}
we're working on it.}
we've decided she will use sign language to complete her verses
at her own pace.
So far, she has "For God so loved the world..." pretty much down.
Once she memorizes all of John 3:16, I will post a video. :)
So, I'm excited about another great Awana year!
And, even more excited about my children
learning more about His Word!
My name is Jenna and I came across your site. Darrah and your boys are a precious miracle, special gifts, handsome prince's and beautiful princess. and cute earthly angels. Darrah is an inspirational hero.
ReplyDeleteI went to a group called Pioneer girls which is like awana and I really enjoyed it, then I go to youth group. I hope the kids like awana's.
I was born with a rare life threatening disease, developmental delays, 14 medical conditions.
