All of these pictures are orphans in the orphanage Reese once lived in.
Baby House #3
Odessa, Ukraine.
"I will not leave you as orphans. I will come to you."
John 14:18
And as M. told me today:
"God always keeps His promises."
Think about that.
A little boy who is one of the 147 million.
Stating with confidence that
His God keeps His promises.
Yes, dear one. He does. He so does!
There's comfort in the promise of John 14:18.
There's comfort in the promise of Psalm 68:5:
"Father of the fatherless and protector of widows
is God in His holy habitation."
There's comfort in the promise of Job 29:12:
"Because I delivered the poor who cried for help
and the fatherless who had none to help him."
My heart always breaks on Orphan Sundays.
Orphans.
I hate that there are orphans in our world.
I hate that one of my children was once
and one of my children is currently
classified as social orphans.
God will keep His promise for the 147 million.
He will keep His promise for M.
He has gloriously fulfilled His promise for Reese.
Jesus said in Luke 10:
"The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few.
Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers
into his harvest field.
GO! I am sending you like lambs among wolves.
Do not take a purse or bag or sandals."
Don't wait.
Don't stop to tie your shoes.
go! Go! GO!!!
